However there is some after care products and information that you should have before you get a keratin treatment.

It is important to take proper care of your hair after a keratin treatment. Proper keratin after care can help make your treatment last longer and work more efficiently at rejuvenating your hair the way that it should. The first keratin after care tip that you should never wash your hair after a keratin treatment. You should wait up to 4 days before you attempt to wash your hair to provide the treatment with plenty of time to soak into your hair and perform as it should. You should also pay close attention to the shampoo that you are using to prevent removing keratin from your hair. Treatment Type

Much of the Keratin after care that you will need will ultimately depend on the type of treatment that you have decided to get. Many salons provide short-term treatments that will only last a couple of days and then tell you that their products will make them last longer. While these short-term treatments aren’t really worth paying for, splurging on the long term treatments that require you to wait 4 days before washing can do more for your hair than those of the short term. You can still purchase keratin shampoo and keratin conditioner for use after the 4 day wait to help extend your treatment, then apply a keratin mask occasionally to rejuvenate your hair and the treatment, but this all depends on how you take care of your hair.

You should always avoid shampoos and conditioners that possess sulfates and other things that will dry out your hair. This is even more important in keratin after care. You should ensure that you treat your hair properly to keep in moisture and extend the treatment in your hair to ensure your money was well spent.
